OAK HILL COUNTRY CLUB, ROCHESTER, NY 2015–PRESENT
Oak Hill Country Club is home to two championship golf courses designed by Donald Ross in 1924.
Currently the East course is ranked 22nd by Golf Digest. Oak Hill is the only golf course that has hosted
every men’s major in golf.
East/West Superintendent, January 2022–Present
• Assist Director of Agronomy with management of staff and implementation of daily agronomic,
cultural and irrigation practices
• Collaborate with the Director of Agronomy in the planning, supervision and implementation of all agronomic, cultural and irrigation practices
• Assist in preparing, justifying, and managing a $4.7M operating budget, along with an annual capital budget
of $400K–$1M
• Facilitate the professional growth of the management team consisting of spray technicians, interns
and assistant superintendents to fit Oak Hill’s motto “Be The Best”
• Communicate and effectively lead a culturally diverse staff of 65
• Responsible for the recruiting, hiring, training, and motivating staff
• Assist in the management of 4 equipment technicians and a $6M equipment inventory
• Develop and manage a detailed agronomic program for 20 USGA spec greens and 20 poa/bentgrass
pushup greens
• Direct monthly meetings with Tournament Director to coordinate maintenance practices, to provide
a prestigious experience for both member tournaments and outside events
• Manage ancillary areas such as cottage lawn, paddle ball courts and tennis courts
• Manage duties of horticulture staff and certified arborist to achieve their yearly goals.
• Excellent working relationships with General Manager, Golf Professional, Executive Chef, Division of Finance, and Human Resource Manager
• Present and actively participant at architectural review committee meetings, as well as monthly greens committee meetings
• Manage 36 holes of irrigation requirements, totaling over 6,000 irrigation heads and two pump stations
• Coordinated the installation of a new state-of-the-art irrigation pump station capable of pumping
3,600 gallons per minute
• Responsible for managing LaBar Golf Renovations in the installation of Low Mow & Roll-off areas
on the East course
2023 PGA Championship
• Successful planning and hosting of the 2023 PGA Championship
• Prepared an in-depth budget totaling $2M
• Coordinated and managed the staff along with LaBar Golf Renovations on restoration before event,
totaling over $1.5M
• Worked alongside the Director of Agronomy and Chief Championships Officer Kerry Haigh outlining preparations and procedures
• Coordinated and supervised 20+ vendors to successfully execute the hospitality build out consisting
of over 20 acres of turf
• Developed strategies to navigate through the golf course efficiently
• Communicated with over 120 volunteers to assist with preparation
• Worked in conjunction with Director of Agronomy and Architect, Andrew Green, on the re-design
of the driving range, short game practice area as well as the establishment of 20 acres of native/fescue
areas throughout both golf courses post PGA Championship
East Course Assistant, January 2021–January 2022
West Course Assistant, December 2019–December 2020
• Worked directly with East/West course superintendent to achieve daily maintenance practices
• Responsible for designing and installing numerous drainage projects
• Managed aging irrigation system and hand watering practices to promote optimal playing conditions
while maintaining plant health
• Strengthened an agronomic program on the West Course with 90-year-old poa/bentgrass greens
• Developed a comprehensive snow removal plan at a highly active country club in the northeast
which receives 100” of snow annually
Spray Technician 2019–2020
• Managed pesticide/fertilizer inventory of $500K annually
• Acquired experience in agronomic planning and application, and all government compliance in heavily
regulated New York state

Multi-course, new facility designed by Kyle Franz and OCM Golf, blending modern architecture with the Texas
Hill Country landscape.
• Collaborated with Agronomic Advisors (consulting team) in developing a strategy for quality control of the
overall construction of Course 2
• Utilized deep course operations knowledge to influence design decisions, resolved construction conflicts and restored the project back toward successful delivery
• Worked w/ architects Geoff Ogilvy, Mike Cocking, and Ashley Mead of OCM Golf; ensured strategic alignment, efficiency, execution and the long-term functionality of the design
• Managed LaBar Golf Renovations in installation of PrecisionAir, sod, drainage, irrigation, and bunkers
• Worked with consultants of Golf Water Inc. to develop an integrated strategy for proper irrigation installation and layout, plus an assessment of irrigation installed prior to arrival
